Happy Monday, all! Today I have a fun (and long!) video for you all. I used the Peek-A-Boo Pets stamp set from Avery Elle to create four designs–two cards and two envelopes. Plus, I’ll be walking you through the entire process from card sketches to the watercolor marker painting.
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
I cover a variety of techniques in the video today. There’s a lot of masking (using masking paper from Simon, 2-inch wide Post-It tape, and also a bit of blue painter’s masking tape), some watercolor marker painting with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and ink blending with Distress Oxides.
I used five colors of Distress Oxide inks: Squeezed Lemonade, Abandoned Coral, Seedless Preserves, Tumbled Glass, and Pumice Stone. I also used three stencils: Large Dots stencil from Simon Says Stamp, Hex stencil from Erin Lee Creative, and Circle of Life stencil from Heffy Doodle.
How fun are these?! You can also change up the envelope designs and turn them into cards by simple adding a greeting in the blank space instead of a mailing address.
Thanks for stopping by!
