Sunday Leftovers 1
So, not too long ago while we were setting up our craft room/office, roommate Jen and I decided to try a creative challenge we dubbed.... ta da! Sunday Leftovers!
Here's the story. Each week (or whenever we get around to it), we'll each choose three scraps or leftover items from previous crafting sessions that the other person will have to use to create something new. So, we could be scrounging through the trash bin one week or just setting some challenging pieces aside throughout the week--whatever goes!
Anyway, here's the card I came up with. Also, the three things she challenged me with are shown below. Like those? Total piece of cake! Be sure to check out Jen's new blog for what I gave her to deal with. She definitely had more of a challenge than I did... Mwa ha ha! :)

pretty! :) I love that ribbon!
What a cool idea! And how fun to have someone to "play" with at home! Gorgeous card too!
fabulous card Kristina - gotta get me that stamp!!
Gorgeous ... gorgeous ... GORGEOUS! Interesting textured paper stock too - I'd not seen that stuff you used for the "ribbon" part before!
OMG!! it's always so wonderful!!!
Good Morning Kristina,
I so love Riot of Petals as you probably, already know from the Color Inspirations I submit, but this is beautiful. I was hoping you had some magical secret to make the blue/purple paper crimp like that. :) It reminds me of an old movie where the heroine is wearing taffeta!
Super sassy. I love that stamp. Great card!
Kristina - what a great idea! I love the card created. Headed over to Jen's blog to check hers out!
CUTE card!!
Yet another wonderful creation! Love the textures. Thanks for sharing!
Not only is it a beautiful card, but what a great idea for your leftovers!!! :)
I love left overs!! I can't bare to through away craft left overs... I give my self a challenge with them on a regular basis... I have even used them on your challenges. Glad to see that I am not alone on this one...
Hugs and Happy Stampin'

Great card! It's so different...very cool.
I checked out your roomies site and your right you did leave her a challenge, I liked both of your cards.
Simply beautiful!
Brilliant!! I wish I had a stamping buddy that wanted to play that game...sounds like a lot of fun :-)
Off to see Jen's card!
I love this card!! My 11 yr old daughter had some friends over and I taught them to make some quick cards out of scraps . . . they turned out so cute. I just love using up the scraps! They sold them at a lemonaide stand and made quite a bit of $$!!! Thanks for sharing your creativity!! Love it!

Oooh, I love that navy textured paper with the crimped layer underneath! The satin ribbon on top is great, too. I love it when a card has lots of texture like that! :D
