MACM – Another 5-minute card challenge attempt

Hi all! Today I decided to try my hand at the 5-minute card challenge again. I haven’t been successful yet, but maybe today’s the day? :)

The sentiment stamp is from Simon Says Stamp’s Apothecary Labels stamp set, and the background stamp is the Arrow Background stamp from BasicGrey and Hero Arts. I inked up the background stamp with three inks from Hero Arts: Pale Tomato, Soft Pool, and Butter Bar.

Anyhow, enjoy!

MACM – Open Me ASAP & Tombow Blog Hop

Hi all! Not only is today another Make a Card Monday video, but I’m also taking part in a blog hop with Tombow (check out the giveaway below!). I’ve been using Tombow adhesives since I started crafting years ago, so I definitely have my favorite adhesives. Recently, I’ve been loving the Stamp Runner, and I’ve been using Mono Multi Glue for what seems like ages. It’s my favorite liquid glue.

Today I’m using a new-to-me product from Tombow: Fastener Tabs. They’re sort of like Velcro tabs–perfect for envelopes! :) I used a stamp from Simon Says Stamp’s Envelope Sentiments stamp set for the flap and then adhered the fastener under the flap. And today’s cute patterned paper is from the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm 6×6 pad.

MACM – Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Monday, all!

For today’s card, I wanted to create a Mother’s Day card. Mother’s Day is this Sunday for those in the US, so I thought it would be a fitting card for today. :)

I embossed images from the Best Mom Ever stamp set in white on vellum cardstock. The Bazzill 40 lb. vellum is nice and thick so it’s great for heat embossing. Then I colored the flowers and leaves with Copic markers on the back side of the vellum. The vellum mutes the colors and protects the marker tips (Do NOT color directly on an embossed image with Copics because it will ruin the tips of your markers).

Anyhow, hope you enjoy! :)
