Plaid Stamping – Make a Card Monday #236

Hi all! For today’s card and video I wanted to try out some colorful plaid stamping. I was totally inspired by Laura Bassen, who in my opinion, has perfected plaid stamping. She’s amazing at it! (And just about everything else, too). :)

I used the Basic Stripes stamp set from Clearly Besotted and a bunch of Memento inks from the Gum Drop pack of inks for the plaid. Although I thought they were a bit splotchy at first, near the end of the stamping they were doing great. I take that to mean that the stamps probably had a little bit of a coating on them that dissolved as I stamped more and more. This allowed the ink to stick to the clear stamp a bit more and stamp more smoothly.

Anyhow, enjoy the video! :)
