Friday Focus – Inspired By #6

Happy New Year, everyone! I’m back from an extended blogging vacation, and it was fun to relax a bit and spend time with family. I hope your Christmas and New Years Day were wonderful! :)

For the first video of 2014, I thought I’d revive my Inspired By miniseries. I’ve been looking at planners and organizational stuff recently (since it’s one of my goals for 2014 to be more organized when it comes to writing things down and staying on top of things), and I came across The Simplified Life Planner and The Simplified Life Binder from Emily Ley. While I was perusing her store, I came across the cutest card

I instantly wanted to create my own version of it using stamps and masking…

Super fun!

On a side note, I did end up ordering The Simplified Binder in Caribbean Blue + Lara Casey Power Sheets to fill it. I’ll have to let you guys know how I like them after I have a chance to try them out for a while. As for a planner, I’m trying out an Erin Condren Life Planner. That should be arriving next week, so I’ll try to blog about that, too.

What do you guys use to plan your day and month? I love my iPhone for reminders and appointments, but I need paper for actual planning. :)

  1. Classy card!

  2. I love the card, it is super bright and colorful!! I may try to make my own version.

On a side note, I use the FranklinCovey planner and have for almost 15 years. I love it.

  3. Love the card, I may try using strips of paper for the bars, good use of scraps. I have had a journal for about 20 years. On one side I write my meal plan for the week and the other side is all the TODOs. It has worked for me. Now that I am retired, there is not as much emphasis put on TODOs, but the meal plan is crucial to my existence.
