Lettuce Celebrate! – Make a Card Monday #237

Hi all! Happy Monday!

(BTW, on a related sidenote, I’m hoping to get on a better posting schedule soon. Posting videos much earlier in the day. That’s my goal!)

Today’s card features the Calorie Free stamp set from Paper Smooches. Such fun greetings and images in that set! Just had to use it!

I stamped the head of lettuce in Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf ink (which you can use with watercoloring – YAY!) and colored it with a Mowed Lawn Distress Marker.

Anyhow, enjoy!

  1. Such a fun card. Love the punny images and sentiments. Not sure any of my Dutch relatives will be able to appreciate them, though.

  3. I’m loving the matching SSS ink and cardstock!! On my wish list!! Great way of filling up space by repeating the same image…very simple yet effective. Thanks Kristina.

  4. That is super cute. Do you know of all the Simon inks are formulated the same way? Just wondering if you can count on having the same properties across the entire ink line. TIA!

  5. Such a cute card and I love that’s its green. I’m thinking about using this idea for my St. Patricks Day card. I’m also going to have to order this stamp set. I’ve never used Simon Says before, but heading that way. I love what I’ve seen so far.

  6. I love green! This was perfect, simple, quick, cute and fun. The overall sketch is a classic one that is so easy do. Thanks for starting us off like this for the new year. Not every card needs to be one that takes 30 mins to make.

  17. I love that you color the edge of your fussy cutting. I have been doing that for a bit because I thought it looked better but never (before you) have I seen anyone do it in a video so I thought I was either strange or just really picky.

  18. I love your ‘play on words’ and all the pretty shades of green you chose for this card, Kristina! So, so CUTE! Thanks so much for the video, too!

  19. Very cute card. I used watercolor crayons a lot and find that Versa Fine ink works great with them and I don’t get any smearing with it at all. TFS!

  20. Great use of versamark and I love the pun!

  21. Super cute card, Kristina! As always, thanks for the video. :)
