Friday Focus – Wishing You the Happiest of Birthdays

Hi all! Technically, I know it’s Saturday. Just not enough hours in the day. :) I got to watch my nephew and baby niece for my brother and sister-in-law so they could have a date night last night so I was unable to edit my usual Friday Focus video. So here I am at sharing it a bit late. But hey! Let’s start the weekend off right! :)

For this card, I used three different stamps/stamp sets: Capture Prism background stamp from BasicGrey and Hero Arts, Birthday Balloons from Simon Says Stamp, and Cake and Candles from Avery Elle. I also used the Balloons die set from Simon to cut out the balloon shapes (the smallest die coordinates with the Birthday Balloons stamp set).

Anyhow, enjoy! :)

  2. Hero arts create fantastic background stamps!! Always enjoy your choice of colour Kristina. Thank you for sharing despite a busy schedule!!

  3. Hi Kristina, Fabulous card & video. I have never heard of rubber stamps having bubbles & have a few questions. What do they look like? How do I know if I have them? What are the consequences of not releasing them? Thanks in advance for your help. Theresa x

    • When there’s a bubble it’s just not an even surface. You’d know if you had one. And if you don’t fix it, it might be hard to stamp the background evenly.

  4. Hi Kristina! i just love this card! you did a really great job!!

  10. I’ve never had a bubble on a stamp from HA or any other company, but now I know how to fix it if one comes along. Really cute card. Love the embossed gold background and how festive it makes the card.

  11. Such a sweet card. I love the effect of the real bows and strings.
Not long ago I made a background for a scrapbook layout using gold stripes similar to yours, with gold embossing. I don’t have a lot of background stamps so I used double sided tape to create the background. I did this by sticking down the tape onto my cardstock, remove the backing plastic, sprinkle on the embossing powder, remove the excess and heat with the heat gun to set.

  12. Love this card!

  13. I really like you balloon card!
