Color Inspiration #48
NOTE: The Color Round-Up for last #47 will be posted tomorrow night (Saturday). I wanted to play and make something with the colors, too. Just needed a bit more time. :)
This week’s photo comes from blog reader Cori. Isn’t that little guy adorable!? The colors come from the hat he’s wearing. There’s a little bit of a rust color peeking out at the top, but we’re focusing on the main three colors plus white. ;)
I can’t wait to see what you guys do with this. I think the color combination is awesome! BTW, if you have a photo you’d like me to consider as a Color Inspiration Challenge photo, please email me the link to the photo. It can be on your blog, a photo sharing site like Flickr.com, or just anywhere. It must be a photo you’ve taken yourself. :)

This is one of my absolute favorite color combos. I’m going to go into mourning when they retire Baja Breeze (and Kiwi Kiss). It has been forever since I’ve gotten the time to play in one of your challenges. I sure hope I have the time get to join you!!!
April 4th, 2009 at 4:39 amBeautiful Colors. Thanks Kristina
April 4th, 2009 at 5:31 amOh no, this is so unfair! We don’t have these colours in Europe :( I have been lusting after them for ages now and trying to get an SU demo from the US to send me some, but they won’t. It’s not fair! Baja Breeze & Kiwi Kiss just look fantastic. Please keep your fingers crossed that we get them in the UK catalogue at the end of the year, if we don’t I will have a major strop! Can’t wait to see all the lushness that everyone creates with the colours!
April 4th, 2009 at 5:34 amLOVE these colors. Love ‘em!!!!

April 4th, 2009 at 2:11 pmHi Kristina
Just wanted to say thanks for your reply to my question about your latest brushes sets. I have the latest Photoshop Elements on my PC (haven’t used it yet though!) so that was helpful to know the colour selection is limited in Word. Just thought I’d try them in Word as it seems easier than Photoshop Elements, think I’ll try Elements then. Oh, what a fab idea of you showing us your latest goodies. I loved that video, almost as good as unpacking my own and secondly nice to have a heads-up of what goodies may be used in your upcoming cards. Now I’m off to place my order….Thanks again
April 4th, 2009 at 2:42 pmI love these colors! Thanks for all the great videos!

April 5th, 2009 at 2:48 pmI really appreciated when you made the statement, that you got a mental block or stuck. It helps to know that even designer’s have days when it does not work. Your cards are simple but very nice. Thank you for the opportunity to post cards to your blog. I enjoy seeing everyones card and sharing mine as well.

April 6th, 2009 at 8:06 amhurray I finally got to try your challenge!
its a terrible photo – are there any suggestions on how to take better photos indoors at night?
Try to get a light or lamp that you shine directly on your project. That’s really the only tip I can think of at the moment. :)
I had this problem too! I will have to re-take them another day…off to work!

Although I love these colours, I truly realize the sad shape my paper stash is in!!! I’m itching to shop for more now… especially since I think I’ll be back for more challenges, however, I must be better prepared. Thanks for the fun :)
April 6th, 2009 at 7:44 pmI didn’t participate when you first started the color challenge but I remember when there weren’t this many :) I use to be able to go through them all and comment. Now I just visit the good “old” folks :) You’re going to need an assistant soon :)
