So I just found this extremely helpful video over at YouTube from Susan over at Scrapy Land. Thought those of you with Big Shot machines would find it useful…

You’re going to love the Big Shot. If you like the quickutz 12″ border dies, you’ll need the new extended platform and the extended platform adapter. You can find those here: http://www.itscheaperthantherapy.com/servlet/the-17/its-cheaper-than-therapy/Detail

I am just now figuring out my silhouette, and as you know, you can cut those cute quickutz borders on the silhouette too. But I use both my big shot and silhouette. Die cutting is so much fun!

Thanks for hunting down this video as very informative. Had read other sites about die cutting machines and die compatibility but never looked at Scrapyland’s videos. Shame on me! This opens up way more avenues and adds more to my wish list. Thanks, Kristina!

Thanks for adding this video Kristina, I learned something that I didn’t know. My top cutting plate is very warped, so now I know to turn it upside down to remedy that!
