MACM – Everyone Needs a Cupcake
For this week’s MACM, I finally got to use my Big Bold Cupcakes Sizzlit dies from Stampin’ Up! I bought them a while ago when I got my Big Shot machine and I just haven’t had the chance to use them until now. How fun are these? You might remember how much I loved the stamp set, so the dies are super fun. :)
Anyhow, I used some woodgrain patterned paper from Hambly, and then polka dot paper, yellow crossword paper, and red paper from Sassafrass Lass. And the red ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. :)
So, enjoy!
NOTE: I put a music soundtrack on the video this week like my older MACM videos. I’m still looking for good royalty-free music and I couldn’t find any that I liked, so I had to use one that if you’ve watched my videos for a while, you will recognize. Sorry about the repeats! Until I find some new music, you’ll be stuck with my narration from now on. :)

Thanks! If you click on the video twice, it will take you to the YouTube page.

June 8th, 2009 at 8:47 amAwesome card! I love the papers you chose-they look so cool together. And I’m wishing I had of purchased that die now:) Can’t wait to give this card a go later.

June 8th, 2009 at 9:18 amCute and simple!
June 8th, 2009 at 9:22 amGreat card. Love the sentiment inside. I’d been craving cupcakes for the past couple of months and then this past Friday a friend of mine who is a teacher bought me one as positive reinforcement for FINALLY asking this guy out. LOL.
That is some excellent positive reinforcement. I need some, too. ;)
HI Kristina, Great inspiration for a guy card too. (If you had used the other side of the yellow paper for the table it would look like an old fashioned tablecloth my Mom use to put on her table.) This is cute paper. Thanks for taking the time to make a video to share with us. :) Can’t wait for Friday.
June 8th, 2009 at 9:41 amVery cute card as always, Kristina. I really missed your narration though!
June 8th, 2009 at 9:49 amHi Kristina! Cute card once again! I am lovin’ your handwriting! Can you teach me how to write! :) Thanks for the video!
June 8th, 2009 at 9:50 amSuper cute card this week! I love all the funky patterns together! Hugs!
June 8th, 2009 at 10:15 amI would MUCH rather hear you narrate. Awesome card!

June 8th, 2009 at 10:55 amBEAUTIFUL…LIKE EVERY THING SHE MAKES.. DONT MIND THE MUSIC..BUT ALSO ENJOY THE NARRATION IN THE VIDEOS.. AHHH NO STAMPING ON THIS ONE!! AND YES YOUR HANDWRITING IS AWESOME!!
HAVE A NICE WEEK!!
June 8th, 2009 at 11:01 amYes, another cute card! Of course it is wonderful, we all expect it from you now. :)
Having just music is just fine, especially if it is easier for you and also allows to be flexible with your time and mood. Besides, the music was how most of us first were introduced to you! I like it! Thanks again for ALWAYS posting such happy, inspiring creations.
June 8th, 2009 at 11:36 amVery cute! I really like the sentiment.
June 8th, 2009 at 11:45 amGreat card Kristina, and love the sentiment!
June 8th, 2009 at 11:52 amJo x
Sweet card! I like the curved piece as well. So clever that it looks like a piece of a table top. I like the music; but I like hearing you talk too! Maybe you could do music for MACM and talk to us on Fridays for Finally Friday videos.
June 8th, 2009 at 11:54 amAnother great card. Your videos are ALWAYS perfect:) I like your manicure. Do you do it yourself?
Thanks! Yes, I do my own manicures. You can see a video of it here: http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/?p=411
I love your videos, and since you say that you needed royalty free music I thought I would do a small search and I found this site. I like some of the music and from what I read he just wants credit when you use it…hope this helps in the crusade for some music that you can use.

I’ve been looking over there, too. It just takes a lot of time to weed through all the songs. Thanks for the tip, though. :)
Cute card! I just picked up a woodgrain stamp! Off to create!
June 8th, 2009 at 12:53 pmLove the card, such great ideas you always have. Just love how you can write freehand and have it turn out the way it does, amazing. I prefer to listen to you, I’m not sure you realize how many little tips you give us newbies as you make your cards. But the music was fine and I love that you take the time to share and inspire!!!
June 8th, 2009 at 12:57 pmGreat video. This is the first that I have seen with the music in the background. I like your narrative, too. Maybe you can use the music softly in the background as you speak?
Great card – very nice! Question: How did you get your handwriting to be so ‘crafty’ looking? Mine is awful, but I wish that I could hand-write fun saying in my cards as you do. Any tips?
June 8th, 2009 at 1:50 pmNot sure you realize this, but while we like the music, we LOVE your narration.
Thanks for sharing your ideas.
June 8th, 2009 at 1:57 pmI agree with Jett, yes musics nice but much prefer your narration. Thanks for all your wonderful hard work helping us with ideas.

June 8th, 2009 at 4:02 pmI have to agree I love the narration, I feel like I learn something different each time. Regardless of what you decide, thanks for the inspiration!
June 8th, 2009 at 5:04 pmI think I prefer the music and watching you make a card with the captions but that is just me. If you are narrating instead of the music?….who am I to complain??? lol…..just keep up the good work as you are amazing as always ;) I liked the overall card this week…..kept thinking something was missing but as soon as you included the red splash of ribbon, the card just popped! I loved the wording inside the card…..

June 8th, 2009 at 5:38 pmi really love when you narrate the videos. hope you continue to do it!!!!
June 8th, 2009 at 5:42 pmI missed hearing your voice :-( Music is okay but I love all your little comments that you say while making a card. But….that’s just my opinion.

Thanks again for a terrific card and video.
June 8th, 2009 at 11:49 pmI liked the music while watching… nice choice. Don’t mind being stuck with it at all. Like your narration too.
June 9th, 2009 at 1:02 amThanks, Kristina.
I love this card!
Do you think this corner rounder works better than de SU! one? And if so, what is it exactly? It looks like fun and easy to work with. :)
Thanks,
Marie
Both are good. I just happen to have this one out of my craft table so I end up using it more often. :)
I really like your card and watching you create it but I am sorry, the music was annoying to me because it just kept repeating over and over. I love to hear you narrate much better. :) Love your blog! My sister and I both check in on it often. Thanks.
June 9th, 2009 at 10:09 amLike the music but I miss your narration!! I noticed you were using a Fiskars corner rounder. Do you prefer that to a smaller SU rounder? Love your card this week :)
June 9th, 2009 at 10:32 amthis card hit me very close to where i live…soo cute. what a great combo of colors and patterns.
i’m in the minority because i like the music, but it’s really a win-win situation. we win no matter what you do!
June 9th, 2009 at 1:49 pmI’m a fan of the narration! I like knowing what you use and what you’re doing without having to look for captions. Awesome cards! They’re very inspiring. :)
June 9th, 2009 at 5:02 pmThanks for a cute video!!! I was wanting to ask you this for a long time, but are you planning on doing a scrap goodies video anytime soon??? I really like seeing all the new supplies you get!!!
June 9th, 2009 at 7:11 pmOhhhh so cute! Love the cupcake-never would have thought of the wood grain background it looks adorable ~ inside sentiment is great too :^)
June 9th, 2009 at 7:39 pmYup. The music’s great and your narration definitely helps me learn new things!
Learned how to tie the ribbon prettier from your last video! :)
Thank you!!
June 10th, 2009 at 10:18 amLife is hectic and I completely forgot to watch MACM on Monday. Now it’s Thursday and I have a free day, it’s pouring outside. Perfect time to sit inside and catch up with my favourite blogs.
June 11th, 2009 at 2:22 amI like the text you wrote inside. You should make these into digatal stamps too.
Great card.
Eveline.
I like your videos that way. I really like the music. :)
June 11th, 2009 at 10:05 amHi! i wanted to know where i can buy that thing that you use to clear/cut the corners of the cards (i dont know how to traslate that, i speak in spanish actually!!) i live in Argentina (south America) and we dont have any of that and perhaps i can buy it from internet.
