I’m a Mermaid?! Personalized Mermaid Framed Home Decor (No-Line Coloring)

You all know I can’t resist a mermaid stamp, right? :)

When I saw the Little Mermaids stamp set from The Greeting Farm, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I have three amazing friends that I love to pieces. Our group of four is so fun and I immediately thought of making either a card or a frame piece that included all four of us as the mermaids from the stamp set…

I wanted to do the no-line coloring technique on the images, so I stamped the them in French Ultramarine Archival ink. I used Archival ink (as opposed to Distress Ink) because it’s waterproof and I didn’t want to lose the lines of the stamp images. Sometimes I use Antique Linen Distress Ink to stamp images for no-line coloring, but I thought I’d try Archival today.

Then I die cut the mermaids using the coordinating dies, ink blended a background and adhered the die cuts. I added Crystal sequins from Darice (5mm and 8mm) and shimmer to the mermaids using a Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen in Clear.

I hope you enjoy today’s video! It was super fun to paint. :)
