Finally Friday - Thank You

Finally Friday - Thank You

Good morning, all!

When I sat down to create the card for this week’s Finally Friday video, I really wanted to try out some of the new digital cutter files that are available in the TwoPeas store. Since I’m not designing digital product anymore, I was so happy to see that Jen Allyson started creating digital cutter files. They are AWESOME! Let me tell ya!

Anyway, one of the kits I really wanted to try out was her Elegant Card kit. It comes with a matching envelope, too! So, I hooked my Cricut up to my Mac and after a lot of trial and error (more info on that in a future post), I cut all the pieces for my card. Once the machine was working, it was super easy!

NOTE: For Cricut owners using the Sure Cuts a Lot software to cut SVG files (which is what you have to do with the digital cutter files from TwoPeas), when you import the files they are super small. For files like this one with the card and envelope, you’ll need to be extra careful when enlarging the files to cut. Be sure to make all the sizes relative to each other. You’d hate to cut the envelope and then realize the card is too large to fit inside. :)

So, enjoy the card! You can see all the product used over at TwoPeas. :)

Beautiful card but unfortunately won’t be able to make it….can’t afford the cricut :`(

Sadie July 10, 2009 at 5:25 pm

You don’t need a cricut. As soon as I seen her card I had to buy it. Print them out, laminate if you want(to save paper) and cut the template out. Hope that helps.

I love that idea about printing and laminating it! I have a laminator I haven’t used in a looong time! Cool! I tool I can use that haven’t used! Will use this part of the use it or loose it challenge! ;o)

Love your card and envelope! I just started making envelopes too! They are such a great finishing touch! I also had to have those Marrakesh papers- hello! Morocco! It bugged me that they had elephants in the set- weird! Morocco is known for camels, people! Okay, getting off my soapbox!
Have a great weekend!

I love this card! I am amazed at how well your hand-drawn stitching always looks! I guess I need practice because mine never comes out looking as straight or evenly spaced!

Thanks for sharing!

You did it again! The shape and decorations are lovely. I LOVE your style. It’s chic, simple and on-the-spot. You should know you have a fan in far-away- Israel!

Another great video:) I loved seeing what you did with the chip board. I got some chip board sitting there, and now have some ideas for using it. I can also use it in the challenge, too.
