MACM – Two Hearts

MACM - Two Hearts

Good morning, all!

The card this week started when I bought Liquid Pearls. I wasn’t quite sure what to think of them and was stumped on how to use them outside the obvious “puffy paint” similarities. But then I saw a video from Jennifer McGuire where she mentioned that after squeezing out a little dot, you just tap the underside of the card stock, the peaks drop and even out, and they look like pearls. Pretty sweet!

Since I bought the Silver Pearl color, I decided to sort do a monochromatic card with lots of Going Gray. But then I couldn’t resist throwing in some pink. :)

Anyhow, enjoy the video!

Two Hearts – Stampin’ Up! card stock in Going Gray; Stampin’ Up! ink in Going Gray; Stampin’ Up! Medallion stamp; Hero Arts Scallop Circle stamp; Hero Arts Friendship Messages stamp set; Stampin’ Up! Simply Said stamp set; Colorbox Stackable Queue Chalk Ink in Rose Petals; Papertrey Ink ribbon; Ranger Liquid Pearls in Silver Pearl.

Kristina – this is so elegant and yet charming with the pink hearts. Thanks, too, for sharing the tip on the liquid pearls – they look SO much better that way!

Love the gray and silver with the pop of pink. I also loved how your liquid pearl accents turned out.

I JUST ordered from my SU demonstrator, and really struggled about whether to get the medallion….I guess I can still get it next quarter!

What brand are the “honeycomb” pop-dots? I get so tired of DIGGING out the little circles in my brand.

THanks!

Greetings from Australia!
Thanks for sharing this technique, Kristina – I’ve had Liquid Pearls for ages, because a girl in a shop said it was awesome, but like others, I hated those little peaks – didn’t look like I expected at all – now I’ll have to pull my bottle out again and have another go!
I love your blog – thankyou!!!

Love your card!! Absolutely beautiful! I love bling and that card sure had it! I am also a ribbon girl and use quite a bit of ribbon in almost everything I create. Thanks for a great video. I just need to save my pennies to get some of those liquid pearls!

LOVE the liquid pearl tip. I don’t use mine because of the peaks…after your little tutorial, I’m going out to snatch up all the colors!!
