in Cards

I came home tonight after having my hair colored (every 10 weeks–such is being a girl) and found a lovely package on my doorstep.

“Hmm… weird. I haven’t ordered anything recently.” I looked at it closer. The box was wrapped in paper and had little KitchenAid mixers stamped all over it in “Roxy” Red! “What…?” I was definitely intrigued now. I opened it up and…

There was a ton of awesome KitchenAid stuff inside! I found a card inside as well from Martha, an awesome demonstrator I met through SCS and from an email she sent last May after my Mom gave me a KitchenAid hand mixer for my birthday that she read about here at my blog. She’s such a sweetie! She’s also a KitchenAid Product Specialist–what an awesome job that would be!

Not only were there little recipe booklets, red measuring spoons, cute red ribbon with “Kiss the Cook” on it, and some magnets for my fridge that have the KitchenAid customer service phone number on it, but there was also an awesome mixer spatula that has a curve that matches the curve of Roxy’s bowl! SAH-WEET! Plus, there was a really nice gift bag which features a HUGE photo of a red mixer… it just has to be Roxy. I can’t tell if it’s her for sure, but I’d like to think it is. She’s so beautiful I don’t see why KitchenAid wouldn’t use her as a model. ;)

Ahh… I have the best blog readers! :)

Here’s a card I made for lovely Martha. Hey, Martha! Watch your mailbox–this puppy’s headin’ your way!

So lucky! I’ve been hunting for ribbon like this .. as my hubby is a chef! Glad to see it exists, even though I may never lay my hands on it!! hehe
I love the thank you card you’ve done .. the placement of the letters is very effective!

So glad you got the package! I was happy to send it. Your blog is a great inspiration to me and that is just a little thanks.

Looking forward to getting the “Martha” card! I just got that alphabet in yesterday’s shipment, can’t wait to use it.

I found the Kiss the Cook at a little gourmet store here in Dallas. Happy to send a spool to anyone who wants some. Just email me!

You’re really pushing me over the edge to order that jumbo outline alpha! Do you use a stamp-a-ma-jig when you line it up like that, or do you just eyeball it? Love the card – have fun with your new goodies too!

Kristina says: Hi Kim! I actually just eye-balled it. I mounted the stamps so they were in the lower left corner when I stamp (since I’m right-handed and I just lean over to see where it’s stamping). Hope that helps!

For all you give us through sharing your talents, you so deserve these goodies! Wish I had thought of it myself, but, well, I don’t have an inside line to kitchen aide. Or much else interesting, for that matter! Except maybe Canadian/European treats like Kindersurprise, Caramilks, and my personal fave, Macintosh Toffee! Martha, you’re inspiring too!
