Things I love right now
Time for another non-papercrafting related “things I love” post! I love doing these and I’m happy that you guys put up with me when I do them sometimes. :)
Stuff I’m loving:

MAC eye shadows in Woodwinked (a good everyday color for practically everyone) and Soft Brown. Soft Brown is a great color for blending out any crease color because it’s a warm light brown. It sort of just helps everything fade into your highlight color–whatever that might be. (Now that I look at them side by side in the photos above… they look quite similar, don’t they? Believe me, they are VERY different in person).

The new Mika album, The Boy Who Knew Too Much. So fun! Half of the album sounds like the previous Life in Cartoon Motion album (which I loved!), and the rest is just as good. Gosh, I love this kid. So creative and fun. :)

Loving this list of Exceptionally Useful Free Handwritten Fonts compiled by Tripwire Magazine. I think I’ve downloaded nearly all of these fonts for use on digital scrap pages.

KP has me wanting a FujiFilm Instax camera… There’s just something about it’s ENORMOUS size and immediate photo satisfaction that is calling to me. I’m considering the camera + five (really 10) packs of film. Hmmm…

You’ve Got Mail on DVD. I could watch this movie every single day and still be charmed by it. I think it’s my favorite movie of all time… Plus, there’s a quote for every occasion–much like The Godfather. ;)

This makes me want to learn how to sew.

It’s been around a while, and it’s barely even autumn here in Utah, but it’s never too early to make a snowflake. :)
What are you loving right now?
(Don’t leave more than one link or your comment will be marked as spam and won’t show up right away).

I have an Instax and they are so much fun! I don’t know if they sell them in the US yet, but I got mine on ebay from Japan and ordered several film packs so I wouldn’t have to pay shipping for a while. The photo quality isn’t wonderful but they’re fun photos!
September 24th, 2009 at 11:10 amI’m loving Bare Minerals Matte foundation…this is great for my shiny face!!!

I love seeing these posts! Always like to see what you love and read other bloggers faves as well!
Right now, the one thing I LOVE and cannot leave the house without is my lipgloss! It keeps my lips smooth, glossy and minty fresh! You have to try these!!

DH and I are loving MASH “Goodbye Farewell Amen.” we’re building our collection of the whole series {seasons 1-5 so far!} and we just acquired the final episode complete with tons of behind the scenes extras :)
September 24th, 2009 at 11:38 amhttp://www.amazon.com/Goodbye-Farewell-Amen-Alan-Alda/dp/B000OT6V1E/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1253813836&sr=8-7
Me too!! I can’t believe what a difference Bare Minerals (medium beige and beige) has done for my complexion. I also use the warmth and mineral veil. Before I start I put on their Prime Time foundation primer. It makes your face so silky! And the brushes are awesome. And speaking of Mika…like the music, but LOVE the name. I have an 18 y/o daughter with the same name, same spelling. She’s beautiful! Thank for sharing Kristine
September 24th, 2009 at 11:45 amVery cool list of things, Kristina. I was especially intrigued by the handwritten fonts. DH and I recently watched the movie “Taking Chance” with Kevin Bacon. It is the absolute most amazing and heart wrenching movie I’ve ever seen. DH is a Marine Corps Officer, so this was especially touching to us. I highly recommend it to anyone. (Keep the tissues close by!)

September 24th, 2009 at 12:02 pmI’ve checked every one of your loves! As for the “You’ve got mail” I think it’s my favorite too!
September 24th, 2009 at 12:30 pmSo I am currently in love (among other things) with my new ebook reader BeBook! Check it out at http://mybebook.com/
Also I really like using amazon to get all my books BUT did you know that you can buy books from amazon through http://www.thegreenbookstore.com and if you do so they donate 1% of your purchases to environmental organizations such as Greenpeace?! Love it!
September 24th, 2009 at 12:41 pmSame service, same price, 1% to the planet!
So this sounds cheesy and like I’m sucking up but I’m totally into your blog! I just discovered it last week and have been reading your archives. Love the videos!
Ok, but non-crafting loving would be for my Mary Kay mineral powder foundation. I was always a liquid girl but this stuff rocks!
September 24th, 2009 at 12:49 pmOkay, so if you need another apron … I can totally hook you up! I have the book “A is for Apron” … take a gander one day and tell me which one you want for your giveaway prize!
Thanks, Ris! I might take you up on that. The apron you made me is my absolute favorite! :)
Well, being green is my moto. And I started reading the post because of “You’ve got mail” with which I am in love. Must have seen it at least a thousand times!! :)
But I must say that I learned something from you. I wasn’t aware of the existence of the green bookstore . I do have a kindle though! (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00154JDAI?ie=UTF8&tag=width-20&link_code=as3&camp=211189&creative=373489&creativeASIN=B00154JDAI)
And it is my favourite thing right now!
Can’t sleep without it ;)
September 24th, 2009 at 1:03 pmWoodwinked is my absolute fave color right now. I have blue eyes and it brings them out perfectly.
My favorite thing right now is pumpkin, I don’t care how I get it as long as I get it, pumpkin lattes, pumpkin cake. Doesn’t matter to me one little bit.
September 24th, 2009 at 1:19 pmMy favorite thing right now is Abbey Road by My Mind’s Eye. Super cute papers!!

September 24th, 2009 at 1:53 pmI am loving wildlife on my morning walks. I get to walk along the Wailea coastline every morning, and the Kolea (Golden Plover) have been arriving for the past month from Alaska. On the best mornings, though, I see turtles feeding along the coastline. Because they’re protected, they grow very large and a couple of them are just huge – maybe 4 – 5 feet long – and I feel that everything’s right with the world when I see them.
September 24th, 2009 at 1:58 pmHi Kristina,
Your blog is one of my favorite things. I’m also very attached to my Arbonne Virtual Illusion Makeup Primer. One pump does the whole face, and it feels like silk. I put it on after my moisturizer, and it feels so nice that sometimes I forget to put on regular foundation.
September 24th, 2009 at 2:11 pmThis was super cool Kristina!!

I loved that we scrapbooked at that party. We both need to start going to them more!!
September 24th, 2009 at 3:35 pmThe most perfectly well done ending to a movie ever I think is when Tom Hanks rounds the corner yelling, “Brinkley”. I now have a baby neice named Brinkley because her mom first heard it in You’ve Got Mail and loved the name (and the dog!)
September 24th, 2009 at 3:36 pmHow cool is it to make your own snowflake! excellent!
September 24th, 2009 at 3:44 pmI love that you are a MAC girl (as in the makeup). I totally use Soft Brown every day to help blend out my crease color too!! :) Right now I’m obsessed with Folie. I’ve been luke warm about it for awhile, but now I officially love it.
September 24th, 2009 at 4:28 pmI too am in love with my Bare Minerals Foundation. I use the foundation, mineral veil, and warmth. It’s just so light and airy and always makes me look good :) It’s definitely worth the money to invest in it, or to at least give it a try. I’m sure you’ll love it to if you tried it.
September 24th, 2009 at 4:38 pmThanks for sharing – always look forward to these posts and yes I am a You’ve Got Mail fan too! I am loving all the bright summer dresses that are coming into the stores and skincare wise I have the worst luck finding something that doesnt make my face go yuck and red but I found Sothys Fragile Capillaries range and I must say how did I get by without it!

September 24th, 2009 at 5:53 pmI love Prescriptives motorized mascara called Motor Eyes. Try http://www.prescriptives.com or any large department store. I’ve seen ads for cheaper ones but I love this one. It makes my eyes look sooo much larger and it is really good mascara.
Love your blog.
September 24th, 2009 at 6:02 pmI am loving “Glee” and the song Don’t Stop from it – a bit Gleeky I know! I also love Burn Notice – i am a bit of a TV junky. I am also very much loving watching craft videos on you tube – so many talented people in the world. I am also loving the spring weather we are having in Sydney right now (not the massive dust storm) but the blue skies and warm weather! Ok that is enough from me. Love your blog, keep up the great work!

September 24th, 2009 at 7:42 pmYou are so cool. Just found your blog through Nicole Heady’s website about 2 months ago.
September 24th, 2009 at 8:27 pmMy favorite right now, your blog of course. I wish you posted more frequently, any kind of post, card or non-card. I am a big card maker for years. Just love your blog and video’s.
You’ve Got Mail, I saw it twice at the movie theater when it first came out, bought it as soon as it came out in video and now in DVD, nuff said.
I collect apron’s, just bought the ME apron book.
Currently loves are the David Crowder Band and Avalon new CD’s. Plus for some reason my green Gaelic Storm shirt. It has become a Friday Fav for work.
September 24th, 2009 at 8:29 pmKristina you totally rock on your favorite days especially with your favorite movie…”You’ve Got Mail”. This is our favorite too…we met online in a chat room and have now been married for almost 9 years and together almost 11 years. We watch this movie every Sunday…our “Sunday” movie and anytime we want a feel good movie to watch. YAY another person that feels like we do about “You’ve Got Mail”.
September 24th, 2009 at 9:02 pmThanks for posting the free fonts link! I am going to download them all tomorrow at work! Very excited!
September 24th, 2009 at 9:15 pmI love “You’ve Got Mail” too. Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors.
Probably the best thing I’m loving right now is my iPhone. I got the 3GS in June. So handy. LOVE IT!
I’m loving hulu.com. We love watching old episodes of 30 Rock, Burn Notice, Glee, and The Closer.
Love TiVoing shows like Top Chef, Project Runway, Flipping Out, and The Rachel Zoe Project.
If we didn’t have TiVo or Hulu, I’d never get to watch any TV.
September 24th, 2009 at 9:19 pmI made a snowflake! It was really fun! By the way, it is snowing in Cardrona, NZ. I get their e-newsletter; skied there on 3 vacations in August each time. http://www.cardrona.com

September 25th, 2009 at 7:57 amRight now I am loving girls’ cottage weekend (leaving in 5 hrs.), Smashbox makeup primer and the novel “The Gargoyle”. I will have to check out the Bare Minerals matte foundation. I am always looking for something to minimize the shine on my face. I love “You’ve Got Mail”. It was on TV a few weeks ago and I watched it from start to finish, despite the stupid commercials.
September 25th, 2009 at 8:18 amMy fave is Este Lauder double wear liquid foundation. I’m telling you, girls, this is the first foundation that I’ve found that really stays on all day. Before finding this, my makeup would begin to look shiny/oily by noon. Not EL double wear! Another fave is Taste of Home Dinner on A Dime cookbook – awesome recipes and del-ish foods! I’m off to Mcdonald’s to get another fave – a lg unsweetened icea tea with two splendas!
September 25th, 2009 at 8:46 amLove your site!

September 25th, 2009 at 4:15 pmI bought the Fujifilm Instax camera to use for the guest book at the rehearsal dinner for my son’s wedding. I’m taking pictures of each guest to mount on a journaling block. Each guest will be asked to write a greeting or words of marital wisdom for the bride and groom. After the wedding, I’ll put them into a book for my son and his new wife!!
September 25th, 2009 at 4:31 pmI just love it when you post Things I Love Right Now Ü Usually results in a shopping haul but that’s the fun part!
*Love my new Kindle (thanks to your post last year! Bought hubbie the 1st one then he bought me the lastest one this year for my birthday Ü)
September 25th, 2009 at 9:26 pm*Love, Love…did I mention I LOVE the soundtrack to Twilight
http://www.amazon.com/Twilight-Soundtrack-Various-Artists/dp/B001ED7C58/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1253935383&sr=8-1
I can’t hardly wait till Oct. 20 for New Moon’s soundtrack to be released.
*Wish someone could teach me the tricks on liking Bare Minerals. Maybe I’m just to wrinkly for it to look good.
This is a craft item that I think is awesome:

September 26th, 2009 at 1:30 pmThat apron makes me want to pull out the sewing machine and make one. “Sew, So, Cute!” as it says :)
I am loving a lot right now…in the craft world I am into shimmer and sparkle, which is a change for me. Luckily, there is TONS to choose from right now! And, as my husband and son are huge Star Wars fans, I am so excited to use the Star Wars line from Imaginisce that I bought from Two Peas. The pages are going to be awesome!
In the non-craft world, I am living vicariously through young adult novels. Love my Harry Potter and Twilight :)
September 26th, 2009 at 8:54 pmThank you for that link to the fonts. I’m a font addict, and I haven’t yet seen many of those.
September 27th, 2009 at 4:24 pmLove your website!

My own husband gets annoyed with me when I’m laughing out loud at the above site!
October 1st, 2009 at 9:57 amC.O. Bigelow lip balm. Fall is upon us in Colorado and this lip balm keeps my lips nice and moist! I am also loving my H2Ozone aluminum refillable water bottle that I picked up at Costco today. I was refilling plastic bottles and got enough lectures about how the plastics break down in the heat and they aren’t designed to be refilled that I broke down and bought a bottle that was actually designed to be refilled. The bonus? It actually keeps the water cold! Love it.
