Morning, all! Happy Friday!
For today’s Finally Friday project, I decided to try some more paper-piecing. In the video, I show you how to draw your own stocking template and then cut out the pieces to assemble a paper-pieced Christmas stocking tag (which would make a GREAT tree ornament, too!). It was so fun to pick out the patterned papers and put it all together. Sort of like quilting and picking out pieces of fabric. :)
For my stocking, I chose some papers from Cosmo Cricket’s Jolly By Golly 6×6 paper pad. Anyhow, enjoy!
CHALLENGE: Create your own Christmas stocking, or other paper pieced tag. Then, upload an image of your tag to the TwoPeas gallery and select this week’s Finally Friday. Your tag will then appear at the bottom of this week’s Finally Friday page. :)

Amazing!!! You have such talent.
so cute, i love the added glitter
Great Stocking! They would make great craft projects for a children’s Christmas party.
Oh My Kristina!! I love this!
Adorable stocking.
Eveline.
so cute! i’ll try this one, only not sure if i can draw it nicely…no layout or template on this one? ;)
Awesome Tag!!!
Thanks for the inspiration :-)
So loooovely !!
it seems so easy to make, I wish I could draw but I don’t have that talent … but you know what I will try.
I want you to know that the time you share with us is utterly appreciated
Kristina, so cute! I love this, thanks for sharing.
Very nicely done. It makes my gift own tags look a little underdone.
What a lucky little girl!! Thank you so much for talking us through this whole video. I love the “live” ones like this. Thank you for a great idea. Have a fabulous weekend.
Angie
Cute!
Hi Kristina, love the Christmas Stocking Tag. Thanks fro taking the time to share the video with us here on your blog. I love it. :)
TOOOOO CUTE.
I am so glad you shared. I will have to try this one right away.
Jo
The stocking is so cute! I really like the glitter!
This is so cute! I love the effect of the glitter on the writing. 3d AND glittery – perfect for Christmas!!
I am so glad its Friday – I think I’m having Christmas card withdrawal after your Holiday card marathon. I love the tag. I am certainly one who likes to make the wrapping as special as the gift inside. People can spend so long choosing the right gift but only 2 minutes wrapping it! It’s a shame.
i know what you mean!!!
great name card!!!…i don’t think i can draw a stocking…but…i’m definitely going to give it a try :)…thanks for the wonderful idea!!!…enjoy your weekend! ;-)
I love that stocking! I really want to try paper piecing the way you did as soon as I get home.
absolutely beautiful, conceive to copy!
Thanks
Oh Kristina, what a cute idea! I think I’ll be making these with the kids at work on Christmas eve… if a girl’s gotta work the day before Christmas she’s gotta have some fun!!!! Jo x
So cute, Kristina! I was having a little Kristina-video-withdrawl this week. Glad to see a new one today. Happy holidays! :-)
love the way you used the glitter…its not over powering at all….wish i could use glitter so smartly…trying to catch up with the holiday series…was busy preparing for my daughter’s first bday celebrations…i made the invittions and decorations by my self inspired by your videos…will email you everything soon…
LOVE this!! It is just too cute…
I must tell you though…I live in Canada, and I was watching TV the other night when a commercial came on…and in the background it had the same music that plays at the start of your FF videos…and I couldn’t figure out why the computer was off…but I could still hear one of your videos playing!! It was too funny!
P.S I realize it is just RF music!
I think I will make some of these for my Secret Santa at work so she can put them on presents. Thanks for the great video!
omgosh! this is soooo gorgeous!! You are soo good, Kristina!
Hugs and Happy Holidays :)

Love that tag! It’s way tooo cute!

Emma;)
Wow…this is great! So good to see it from start to finish…very unique and makes me want to go and make one! You make sketching look so easy when you break it down into steps like you do. Thanks for your amazing inspiration! Love, Mel :)
It was so cool to watch you draw that stocking. Then take us through making it become a tag. It is interesting to watch this process coming from someone who cannot draw. I loved it. I like cubby looking stockings. And really love this paper. I have this paper pad myself and here it is two weeks from Christmas and all my cards and tags are made and I love this paper so much I can not cut into it!
It is so sad.
Awesome project! Thanks for sharing your talents with us!!
So beautiful!!!
My daughters and I have made it a bit of a tradition to watch all of your videos and it was a tough ride from the end of your 25 days series until this one! ;) They’ve become little card video groupies! ;) Well, we really enjoyed this one and now we are inspired to make some gift tags of our own. Adding the CC 6X6 pad to my bucket! Thanks again!
Really lovely Kristina!

Super cute. I had my daughter leaning on my shoulder watching (probably wanted to get onto the computer). She said, if my name was Kate, THAT is exactly how I’d write it, it’s really pretty.
Thanks, for FF.
oh wow … this is so cute! loved seeing the process from sketching to complete … awesome! :)
oohhhh it’as so nice ! Must be nice also in the Xmas tree :-)
This is adorable. Your work is one of my top inspirations, it never fails. This time, you even inspired me enough to clean up my craft area so I’d have room to do this fun project!
I love this paper collection!
Very cute! Love those papers! :)
very cute.. i like how Kate’s name came out.. it looks really good! If I tried to free hand a stocking as you did, mine would look nothing like one! =]
Love this stocking! I am not good at making tags. I’m thinking it might work to make a bunch of bookmarks and use them as tags – somehow I just shut down mentally when it comes to making tags. I did use your stocking how-to to inspire my own shaped card gift card holder – using a Canadian toque as the shape. http://scrapsfrommytable.blogspot.com/2009/12/shaped-card-gift-card-holder-toque.html
LOVE this! Going to have to make a few of these tags for gifts, definitely. Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
SO cute!!! As always, love your choice of colours – and the glitter on the name is fab!
Great stocking gift tag and tutorial – thanks!
