Finally Friday – How to create a digital card template

Hi all!

One of the things I’ve learned recently is how to create clipping masks in Photoshop. And I thought it would be a great way to create a standard card template that could be used over and over.

So this week’s video shows how to create a template in Photoshop. It pretty easy. It’s just about drawing shapes. :) Then to use the template, you just have to drop the patterned papers in and create clipping masks. It’s a super easy way to create lots and lots of cards but in a short about of time. Once you see how it’s done, you’ll probably be hooked like I am.

For the example card I made in the video, I used the Military Guy kit by Vinnie Pearce (also available in just the papers), Spring Flowers Designer Cuts kit by KWernerDesign, and Subtle Shadows kit by Jen Martakis.

CHALLENGE: Create a card digitally. Upload your card to the TwoPeas gallery and it will appear on this week’s Finally Friday page under the Video Challenge Submission.
