A Year in Cards – July 2010 (Cards w/ Repetition)

© Two Peas in a Bucket

Hi all! A Year in Cards for July 2010 just went live over at Two Peas this morning. :)

One of the things that I sometimes struggle with is how to use small stamps, punches, or other mini items in my craft stash. They’re just so cute and itty bitty, I can’t help myself from buying them! But then when I get them to my craft desk, sometimes I’m stumped. Then I remind myself to try using repetition.

Repetition is actually one of my favorite design principles. It’s an easy way to create great impact with small elements.

To see sketches of the cards, and download a PDF of this month’s class with photos and instructions, see this month’s class over at TwoPeas.

HOMEWORK / CHALLENGE: Make a card with repeating elements on it. Use the sketches included on the class page as a jumping off point to create some cards of your own, or create your own from scratch. Have fun with it! :) Upload your creation to the TwoPeas gallery, select this challenge when you do, and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a TwoPeas store gift certificate.

Anyhow, join in and create something with me! And if you’re wondering about the supplies used on each card, be sure to check the supply lists below the video.
