Holiday Card Series 2010 – Day 7

NOTE: To enter this week’s giveaway for a prize pack from American Crafts, fill out the form at the bottom of this blog post.

Hi all! I have a super simple card with minimal supplies for you this morning. :)

I’ve seen a bunch of these words art images from Silhouette over the past few months and I adore them! Finally I had a chance to use them since they released the Silhouette Studio software for a Mac (you can only access the Silhouette Store through their software). Anyhow, this card came together super quickly once I had the words cut. I mention it in the video, but gluing it to the card would have been much simpler if I had spray glue. But in the pinch, you use what you have, right?

I used this specific paper from American Crafts’ Dear Lizzy Christmas collection for the card, and the Tradition Detail Stickers from the same collection for the holly leaves.

Enjoy!

Supplies

  6. I love this card!!! I immediately went to the silhouette store looking for this phrase but I couldn’t find it!

  7. I love the way you applied the glue. Whenever I’ve missed a spot, I end up peeling it off and making a big mess. Thanks.

  10. I always love the designs you cut with your Sillouette. I haven’t left my Cricut yet, but maybe someday I’ll make the switch.

  11. Love the simplicity. My kind of card. TFS.

  12. Beautiful card Kristina
would a Xyron have woked for adhering those letters on?

  13. WOW! Love this card. I have a Cricut and an original Wishblade with hasn’t worked since upgrading to windows7. I went to Etsy to see if anyone was selling the Silhouette Christmas word art, but didn’t find any for sale. Would you consider selling some?

    • I don’t believe the terms of use license from Silhouette allows the selling of their designs. So unfortunately, you’re out of luck. :( You could try creating something similar with letter stickers, though.

  14. All your creations are so nice! Thank you so much for sharing your creativity!

  15. Love this card! I learn so much from watching your videos! TFS

  16. Love this one! I attempted this on the Cricut by using the Gyspy to weld together some sayings and a snowflake from the Joys of the Season cartridge and it was a total fail! Makes me consider the Silhouette! Alas, I am still pretty attached to the Cricut.
