A Year in Cards – November 2010

© Two Peas in a Bucket

Morning, all! Today is the 15th of the month so that means I have another edition of A Year in Cards for ya! :)

Stamps are one of my favorite supplies for cardmaking. And it’s also sometimes a challenge to “think outside the box” when it comes to stamps and use them in different ways. In this month’s class, I show how I used one stamp on three different cards to achieve different looks and essentially stretch the usefulness of the stamp.

Download this month’s PDF with photos and instructions over at the class page at Two Peas in a Bucket: A Year in Cards – November 2010

HOMEWORK / CHALLENGE:
Make a card using a stamp in a new way or a way you haven’t tried before. Use the sketches included here as a jumping off point to create some cards of your own, or create your own from scratch. Have fun with it! Upload your creation to the TwoPeas gallery and select this month’s A Year in Cards class by December 14th and you’ll be entered into a drawing for a TwoPeas Store gift certificate. :)

    Eveline.

  2. Clever girl! I love how you used that stamp! I alsways forget that sometimes using just Versamark is a great way to make a subtle background. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I needed some ideas like this. So hard for me to come up with a simply yet fun card I can repeat over and over and send to friends!

    Thanks Kristina!!!

  4. Love the idea of using tape to cover up the part of the stamp I don’t want to use! I always waste so much time trying to ink only the part I want… and it doesn’t always work out very well!

  8. Great ideas Kristina. I am always looking for “different” ways to use my stamps. I thinks it’s hard to think outside the box sometimes. I try to remember to use stamps from different stamp sets together too. We make such an investment in our wonderful hobby… we need to get as much use out of our materials as possible! Thanks for being such an inspiration – your site is the first thing I check every time I turn my computer on! Diana
