Holiday Card Series 2010 – Day 14

NOTE: To enter this week’s giveaway for a prize pack from Cosmo Cricket, fill out the form at the bottom of this blog post.

Hi everyone!

For today’s card, I wanted to break out the Mitten Weather 6×6 paper pad. And hello? There are patterns in it that aren’t in the collection pack?! BONUS! I mention it in the video, but I was SUPER surprised to find new patterns in the 6×6 pad. Sweet!

Anyhow, this card is great for using lots of different patterns. It’s the perfect card for someone who can’t decide which pattern to use (like me!). After finding the extra patterns, I wanted to use them all! LOL!

So, enjoy!

  6. Very simple and very very cute … Thanks for sharing :o)

  7. Thank you! You totally reminded me that I had a quilting pattern I wanted to translate into my christmas cards! It’s called “the courthouse steps” (I’m a Libra and a paralegal, so it is totally me). My grandmother made the quilt for me and I’ve loved the pattern!! I’ve been meaning to use it on a card for ages ;D

  8. Hi Kristina,

Loving this series! But we are 1/2 way done, oh no! Anyway, just wanted to know what size is the actual card? You have the squares spaced so evenly! Thanks so much for doing this series again this year. Glad you have some sponsors this year.

  9. Great card…great way to use up scraps!! LOVE the stamp sets…they’re going on my wish list! I love your videos…you make everything look so easy (and fun, and beautiful!) Keep them coming!!

  10. Hi Kristina,

I really really love your cards!!! Thank you for showing and sharing your talent to all the card makers out there. I am only a beginner in card making but you really inspired me with your cards. Please continue to do more amazing cards for us…. :)

  11. Oh I just love this card! It is my style perfectly but I do agree with another poster…choosing what patterned papers is hard!!!

  12. Great cards; love explicit directions

  13. once again, another pretty, elegant and stylish card! love it

  14. Hi! Love your cards – I especially like that you sometimes DON’T use your signature move!
Just a quick question though, did you just eyeball the grid with the squares of paper? Or did you use some technique to get them straight? Could you share it please? I always feel I need to draw grid lines to do something like that, otherwise I’d never get it straight…

    • I mostly eyeball it. I start with the top left corner, then adhere the top row. Then I do the first column (the first square is already adhered since I did the top row). Then I work out from there. Does that make sense?

  15. I love this one Kristina! So easy, but so appealing to the eye! :-)

  16. Lovely card! I love the grid pattern; it is a great way to use pattern paper. Thanks for the inspiration!!

  17. Another lovely card Kristina I especially like how you used several differant patterns which could be done using up scraps if you wanted

  18. beautiful grid design. love it!
