Morning, all!
For this week’s Make a Card Monday card and video, I wanted to create a card using Echo Park’s Little Girl collection patterned papers. After I started thinking about what type of card I wanted to make, I thought it might be a good opportunity to create the card in the Silhouette Studio software as well. So, if you’re interested in how the cut pieces were created (practically the entire card), make sure to watch the Silhouette video below as well.
And interestingly, I discovered that the pink and light blue buttons in American Crafts Love collection buttons were the exact same colors as the Echo Park paper. Awesome coincidence, right? I happened to have the buttons on my desk and noticed they were the same. :)
The flowers I cut out using the SIlhouette are from my Spring Flowers Designer Cuts digital kit. Even though I’m not creating new digital kits to sell (I only create them as part of my job with BG), my older digital kits are still for sale at TwoPeas. So, you can pick up the kit there. Silhouette Studio files are now included in the kit, also.
Anyhow, enjoy!

The tutorial using the Silhouette Studio software below is rather long, however it will teach you about settings in the Modify, Align, and Replicate tool palettes. I go a bit fast at some points, so feel free to back up and rewind and rewatch areas that you’re unsure of. Also, it would be worth it to watch this video in HD and then at full screen, Then you’ll be able to see the buttons and details a bit better.

You just made my day with this video.
I’ve been messing around with the silhouette studio, but I couldn’t quite get it right.
But with this video, it’s so easy.
So thank you for this video
I would love to have a Silhouette… I don’t know if in Spain it is sell..
By the way i love your work :)
ty for the silhouette video – much appreciated!
Great card! I love the colors your videos are awesome. just became a follower.
Thanks for continuing to do Silhouette/digital cutting/image design tutorials.
Thank you Kristina for the great tutorials. I especially love the silhouette tutorials because I don’t often know the full extent of abilities with the tools. Through your videos I am learning. I love the card you made today and while watching the videos, I was amazed at the high quality videos that you do. I found your site at Christmas time and have watched a lot of videos, but I think it was when I went to other sites and watched their videos (which have awesome content) that I realized that you really do a quality video. Thank you for all the time, expense, and talent that you share with us. We are very blessed that you do this for us.
