MACM – 5 minute card?

Morning, all!

Have you all seen the videos over at YouTube where women try to do their makeup in under 5 minutes? I thought I would try the same with a card. Can I make a card in under 5 minutes? I probably could, right? I decided to try. :)

I picked a pretty ambitious design, using patterned paper from My Mind’s Eye’s Bright Side One 6×6 paper pad, some embossing with Lawn Fawn’s Grand Greetings set, and some punched hearts. Did I succeed? Watch to find out…

  1. LOL I was laughing the whole time, you were soooo close to it.
    Well done

    • LOL It takes a 10 minute video to show a 5 minute card! I love it! The card IS really great, and certainly doesn’t look like a 5 minute card!

  2. I thought when I saw you doing embossing on the card; I was afraid it would take a few minutes longer. You did a great job and I love the card. My daughter and I am going to try to make one this afternoon.

  3. Once you hit the five minutes, you had to start getting fussy! If only the baker’s twine had cooperated. I can’t remember where I saw it, one of the on-line classes (?), but I trick I learned was to use my tweezers to hold the twine in place while tying the bow. That has saved me from fussing so much on getting it tight around the card.

Now to see if I can do a five minute card…

  4. so fun! i decided to take you up on this challenge…took me just under 6 minutes to create this card: krcreations.blogspot…. thanks so much for the inspiration! :)

  5. We are having a wet weekend here in usually sunny Visalia, CA so I thought it would be a good time to straighten up my craft supplies. Also watch some Netflix movies.

  6. Not much going on the weekend, finishing up the last book of the Hunger Games. Maybe a little crafting or cardmaking.

  7. I so enjoyed watching you do this. I loved the timer it made it exciting! Thank you for trying something different!
