Cupcake Liner Card

Morning, all! I have another Simon card for you. I’m posting all of these here so that all my card videos on the internet are in one place. Hope you don’t mind seeing encores of these. :)

I know you’re going to think I’m crazy, but I thought it would be awesome to use cupcake liners or treat wrappers on a card! Crazy, I know! So for this card, I flattened and scrunched up two cupcake liners from Martha Stewart Crafts in order to make a cool rosette embellishment for my card.

I used the larger ones, but I bet the mini liners would be adorable on a card, too! :)

Anyhow, enjoy!

  2. Wow! I never would have thought that cupcake liners would be cute on cards but you have changed my mind. Great card, thanks!

  3. I LOVE this idea.. there are some seriously adorable prints on cupcake liners and they are thin enough to not add a tremendous about of bulk… Great card!

  4. cupcake liners?!?!? I would never have thought. I’m bookmarking that to try in the furture. As always super cute cards. Amazing.

  6. Super cute! Love it! :)

  7. What size envelope would you need to mail this in? Doesn’t seem like an A2 would work.

    • You’d need a slightly larger envelope, or you could cut down the card base and make sure that the liners don’t extend past where the A2 edge would be.

  8. Pretty card and great idea! They make such pretty cupcake liners these days and there are so many designs to pick from.

  9. That is a crazy idea =) … but the result is awesome!!! Great card (as always), Kristina.

  10. I use the liners alot on cards but find the smaller ones are best for the cards I make. I also have cut them to make them lay flat and look like flower petals. SO fun.
    Thanks for sharing your idea.

  11. I have used cupcake liners on cards also (can’t remember where I first saw the idea) and the mini ones are perfect. They make all sizes in such fun patterns. I just bought some on clearance in a Home Goods that are red/black bandana pattern so I can’t wait to use them. Thanks for all your wonderful videos.

  12. I love this idea. I’ll have to keep my eyes open for the liners the next time I’m out shopping.

  13. j’adore j’adore j’adore !! gros bisous !!
