I almost didn’t upload this video today. It’s just so… simple? It just seems too simple for a video. Anyway, I decided to edit the video anyway and here we are! …

So, yeah, super simple, right? :) As for the Unusual Uses part, I used the side of a Puffs tissue box for the teal and brown patterned “paper”. I’ve always loved that tissue box and while I was wandering about my house looking for something to use in today’s video, the tissue box caught my eye.
Anyhow, I guess where I was going with the idea is that you can find fun patterns all over! Try looking at cereal boxes, magazine ads, etc. Just anything that’s flat! :)
So enjoy! And I hope your weekend is fabulous!
NOTE: Details on my nails in the video can be found here.

Funny to see that box design used….I’ve looked at it, too; thinking there SHOULD be something
I could do with it. It just takes a creative mind/talent! I was seriously shorted in the creativity department, so I really appreciate you sharing with us. Have a great weekend.
That is a cute pattern. However, I need to cut the boxes apart BEFORE I use them as they always get smushed before they are emptied. Now what to do with all those tissues…
I have done that, too!! How fun! Puffs has great boxes. Kleenex has some pretty boxes as well but I prefer the Puffs.
Not only is it a beautiful card, it’s a “green” card – way to reuse something that would have been trash!
Not only is it a beautiful card, but. “green” card. Way to re-use something that would have gone in the trash!
Great use of an unexpected supply. Very nice.
I can’t believe you used a tissue box! I have some that I just love and thought about how I could incorporate them into my house after the tissues are all gone, but this is much better!!! Thanks, Kristina:)
I was happy to see you used a tissue box for your card. I’ve done that will too with lots of good results. I’ve even embossed other images on top of the piece and it came out looking wonderful! Love your videos. Keep them coming!
LOVE the FUN card for today~~You are SO CUTE!! =)
Love that you cut the box up while you were thinking about it, because I tend to think of things an then put them out of my min an by the time I remeber I wanted to use that item I have already gotten rid of it!! =) THANKS again for the cute idea and the GREAT Video!!
Have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)
Simple but cute. Thanks for sharing
Love this card! It’s great to re-use materials you find at home.

I have done this before some of the patterns on the boxes are beautiful. Right now puffs has a silver linning inside ( and who doesn’t need one of those lol ) the box! I’m going to try embossing it and see how it turns out. I love that it is more sturdy than lets say the foil from a can of frosting or cream cheese. I am loving this series keep up the good work. I always look forward to your videos. OBTW I am enjoying your nails as well they are fab!
i keep hoarding things that i see that i keep around exactly for this kind of use :) great way to upcycle! and glad you ended up posting this video…!
Well, I’m keeping a tissue box for the very same reason. :) I just don’t have the perfect ribbon for it yet. And in the meanwhile I made a holder of it for smaller pieces of everything floating around my desk. lol
Super simple but beautiful!
Love your cards and video.
Fabulous card, love the color combination and the sentiment. Hugs! Mojca
There are a lot of tissue boxes that I like too. One is the monster box at Halloween. I’ve actually used quite a bit of packaging on cards but not a tissue box. Thanks for the idea!
LOVE it! I cut up my tissue boxes too, for the same kinds of crafts and scrapbooking! I often use the oval-shaped open tops for frames too!… Hope you’re enjoying your weekend!
I call it “kleenex box art” and have saved some of my favorites (not just Kleenex) to use in various ways. I love how you used the box panel on this card. Cutting it in strips and placing them side by side would be another way to show the whole design. There are a lot of possibilites here! Thanks for another good idea!
I loved this! I know it was super simple BUT it inspired me because I often see tissue boxes that I love. I will let my child buy one for her room just because it has a monster on it or something and what a cute card that would make!!!! I’m going to look at boxes in a whole new light now! Great way to recycle too!
I have a stack of empty Kleenex boxes I’m saving to cut letters from. That paper is too gorgeous to throw away. My sister was just telling me this week I’m such a hoarder that I can’t even throw a tissue box away – I’m emailing her a link to this blog entry!
What a smart idea! I trowing away (well recycling) a lot of packaging. Often heard that using non-professional supplies is not professional , even if making something for fun, not for sell. But you have proved that this is wrong! Now starting to observe packaging properly before sending for recycling.
Thank you!
Wow,wow, wow, super bautiful card and I love these beautiful colors combination, design, …everything !!!
PERFECT balance and everything !!! Love it sooooooo much !!!
I’ve been saving Kleenex box sides for a LONG time. Thanks for giving me a great idea on how to use this beautiful artwork!
:-)
Sometimes simple is perfect. This would be a great scraplift for Operation Write Home cards. Thanks for the idea.
