Friday Focus – What’s On Your Desk? Challenge!

Hi all! It’s been a busy week! Whew!

So happy to sit down and make a card for you guys. :) Today I challenged myself to use items that were already on my messy craft desk. Be sure to watch the video to see the surrounding areas of my craft desk–YIKES! All in all, I like how the card turned out.

I ended up using a bunch of washi tape and then created my own colored cardstock by first embossing the sentiment in white and then pressing the Hero Arts Tide Pool ink onto white cardstock (I tried embossing after but the powder stuck to everything). Quick and easy.

Are you up for the challenge?

Leave a link to your creation below the supplies. We want to see what you come up with! :)

  1. HA HA WISH my desk was this neat.! ! !

  2. What a great card from the stuff laying on your desk. I wish I could find everything that quickly. By the time I get half way through with my card, I’ve already buried other parts I was using, including scissors and tape. I always seem to be looking for misplaced items. :)

  3. Thanks so much for sharing this card. I will definitely be trying this!

  4. I always keep markers and cardstock at arms reach, as well as a box filled with some trims.

  5. I was looking at the photo of your finished project before I watched the video trying to figure out which embossing folder you used on the background. When I saw that you used your scoring tool, I was so inspired! Hopefully I can try that trick out soon. Love the card. Love the colors. Thanks for sharing!
