Friday Focus – Perfect Pearls Emboss Resist

Happy Friday, all!

Perfect Pearls are new to me as of late. I’ve never really tried them out until now. Pretty much everything I know about Perfect Pearls comes from watching YouTube videos (Jennifer McGuire has some great Perfect Pearls videos), and also what I learned from this blog post that I found after googling “Perfect Pearls vs. Pearl Ex,”

Anyhow, because it’s a powder, you can do lots of fun things with it! My favorite is emboss resist, so that’s what I did for today’s card. :)

I used the Garden Background stamp from Hero Arts and BasicGrey for the embossing, and the Interference Perfect Pearls kit.

Enjoy!

  4. I love using perfect pearls for the beautiful shine, but haven’t tried them in quite this way! I love the way your card looks and want to try this technique. I’m making my Christmas cards now and think this would make a super background for some of them!

  5. Very pretty with the soft colors! One of my favorites that you’ve done :)

  10. Oh I do love Perfect Pearls! I love the idea of cutting out the shape and stamping inside it. Very nice!

  11. Hi Kristina ~ “Simon” was so smart to bring you on board to create stamps and dies for them…or, should I say “US”! Another great card… I love the soft sheen of the Perfect Pearls! Thank you!!!

  12. very cool card! I bought perfect pearls for the Tim Holtz class at your site, but never used them. I’m going to give them a try.

  13. forgot to ask – how does that taffy card stock compare to Sahara Sand by SU. and the neenah desert storm – kind of looks similar to both, but hard to tell online.

  14. I have to agree with Barb, all your teams are lucky to have you. I am in love with your stamp sets. Its exactly what I am looking for when I go stamp hunting. They are fun & creative without being a one shot deal. Meaning it isn’t just a thanks or a happy birthday but a sentiment that could be used for almost anything. Going to pick up this set to. Eventually I will buy a die cutting machine I just haven’t found one that I find afforable.

  15. What a great card! I LOVE doing backgrounds, and I love playing with Perfect Pearls. I’m not sure why I never considered “painting” with them! Will try out your stamps and dies, which I purchased as soon as I read your blog post about them.

  16. So cool! Thank you.

  17. Here’s are two cards I made using your stamps!!! I love them!
