Friday Focus – New Hero Stamps + Hero Arts 2013 Catalog Blog Hop

Happy Friday, everyone! Today I am part of Hero Arts 2013 Catalog Blog Hop! As part of the hop, Hero Arts sent a me some brand new stamps from the 2013 catalog to play with. I got to play with the stamps a bit last night and I have a couple cards for you. And since it’s Friday, I included the cards in today’s Friday Focus video. :)

(This will be a nice break from all the holiday cards, right? LOL!)

First up, I used the brand new Hexagon Background stamp. I also used the Thank You Heart die from Simon Says Stamp…

And then I created a one-layer card using two new Hero Arts stamps. I used a sentiment stamp from the My Favorite stamp set and also Tweed Pattern background stamp. I did a bit of masking with Eclipse Masking Paper and added white elements with a white gel pen

  1. You had me at hearts and pinky/blue/purple. This TOTALLY has been a fave combo of mine since forever. (Am I the only one who loved Lisa Frank as a kid?) And I love the black embossing on grey paper. Gonna try that on my next non-holiday card! As always, you’re my guru! Thanks, Kristina!

  2. Nice cards. I like the masking done on the second card. The sentiment in the middle with the white lines looks great. Interesting color combination on the Thank You card. I like the hexagons done in black.

  3. Lve your one layer card!

  4. So pretty!

  5. I LOVE the clean look of the black/grey pattern with the white dots and the tiny colors in between. I’m going to try something similar right now!

  6. Thanks Kristina! I always look forward to seeing new stamps and the way you use them.
