MACM – Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Monday, all!

For today’s card, I wanted to create a Mother’s Day card. Mother’s Day is this Sunday for those in the US, so I thought it would be a fitting card for today. :)

I embossed images from the Best Mom Ever stamp set in white on vellum cardstock. The Bazzill 40 lb. vellum is nice and thick so it’s great for heat embossing. Then I colored the flowers and leaves with Copic markers on the back side of the vellum. The vellum mutes the colors and protects the marker tips (Do NOT color directly on an embossed image with Copics because it will ruin the tips of your markers).

Anyhow, hope you enjoy! :)

Friday Focus – One Layer Card #6

Hi all! Today’s card is another installment in the One Layer Card miniseries for Friday Focus. :)

For this card, I only used one stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, Square Sayings. Because I wanted it to be pretty colorful, I used four inks from Hero Arts: Pale Tomato, Tide Pool, Butter Bar (which interestingly looks more orange because I double stamped it), and Soft Granite. Super quick and easy. The total time to complete this card was about 12 minutes!

Anyhow, enjoy!

Color Wednesday #11 – Inktense Pencils & Tiddly Inks Flying High

Hi all!

Today I have a watercolored card made with the Flying High stamp set from Tiddly Inks and Derwent Inktense pencils. This is a one layer card so I used 120# Ultra Thick cardstock. I purposely used Inktense pencils because you get intense color with the least amount of water. If I had needed to add anymore water to the image, I would have needed to switch to watercolor paper so that the paper could handle the extra water.

I just love this little dog, don’t you? So cute!

Anyhow, enjoy!
