Color Wednesday #9 – Distress Markers & The Greeting Farm Miss Anya Collection

Hi all! For today’s Color Wednesday I thought it would be interesting to color the Miss Anya Collection stamp (also available here) from last week, but with Distress Markers instead of Copics. I love coloring with different mediums, so it was fun to experiment and see how the different looks turned out.

Here’s a quick comparison of the two. Distress Marker watercoloring on the left, and Copic coloring on the right…

Definitely different looks, right? I think both have their strengths.

I mention in the video, but I’ll write it here, too: I don’t think this is a completely fair comparison since the colors are different. But at least you can see the difference in each approach.

Anyhow, enjoy!

MACM – Hello There

Happy Monday, all!

Today I played with a couple colors of Distress Paint. I didn’t take advantage of the water properties of Distress Paint (I have something in store for Friday’s card this week that will), but I did have fun scraping the paint across white embossed cardstock. I used the Bubble embossing folder for the texture. The sentiment from Square Sayings was stamped and heat embossed using Stampendous Detail White embossing powder.

Anyhow, enjoy! Hope you all like today’s video. :)
