Capsule Card 2 – Spotlight Watercolor

Happy Saturday, all! As mentioned in yesterday’s Mail Call video, I have a card to share today for the February Mail Call theme, which is Birthdays!

I stamped the large floral image from Gina K’s Friendship Blooms stamp set on both white cardstock and watercolor paper, and then watercolored a section of the watercolor paper and cut out a heart shape.

To finish off the card, I added greetings from Mama Elephant’s Occasional Labels stamp set.

    Such a beautiful card! I think the technique is called Spotlighting. You make water coloring looks so easy!

    This is absolutely beautiful. I am a novice when it comes to watercolor and would love to see you keep the palette and water nearby so I know when to pick up clean water and when to just pick pigment alone.

    This is stunning Kristina. I have a large stamp and never know what to do with it. It’s particial solid and has line flowers on top of it. This would be great to do with the stamp, I hope LOL.
