Capsule Card 3 – Colored Pencil Coloring + Faux Kraft Cardstock

Happy Monday, all! Today I created a Valentine’s Day card using supplies from my Capsule Papercrafting kit. I used the Huggable stamp set from Reverse Confetti for the adorable kitties, plus created some “faux” kraft cardstock using watercolors.

(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

I love the look of kraft or paper bag colored cardstock and the color red for Valentine’s Day, so I wanted to use it for a card. Unfortunately, I did not include kraft cardstock on my Capsule Papercrafting List! So I created some faux kraft cardstock using my watercolor set.

Then I did a bunch of stamping and coloring with colored pencils. I also added details using a while gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by today! I’ll be back with another card soon!

Awesome card Kristina, I love your little cats on the card. Great to see how you turned your cardstock into kraft cardstock. That spot on the bottom, it’s just a little shadow and if you don’t know it, you think it belongs there.
Thank you so much for sharing and have a wonderful day.

Does it matter if you use a wooden board or a plastic board to tape your carstock on?
