Capsule Card 4 – Simple Watercoloring & Heat Embossing

Happy Wednesday, all!

Today I created a simple watercolored card with heat embossing! I used the large greeting stamp set from my Capsule Papercrafting selections for the month, Greetings Mix 1 from Simon Says Stamp. I also used Paper Smooches Botanicals 3 stamp set for some leaf shapes.

(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

First, I stamped and white heat embossed the greeting on black cardstock. Then I created the watercolor background using watercolor paper and my Paper Fashion Watercolor Basics set.

Once the watercoloring was dry, I stamped the leaves from the Botanicals 3 stamp set in VersaMark ink and applied white embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by to visit today! I’ll be back with another Capsule Papercrafting card soon! :)

I love that you used Paper Smooches Botanicals in your capsule collection-it’s so versatile and looks great over your watercolor background. I found myself putting together my own capsule this week as I am staying with my grandchildren and needed to make a few valentines and birthday cards. Thank you-it’s such a timely concept for me!
