Happy Monday, all!
It’s wedding season, right? :) I think it’s always good to have a few wedding-themed congrats cards on hand because inevitably I’m running out the door to the wedding and I realize I need a card for the gift. Without fail, I always seem to forget about the card until the very last minute.
So today I’m using some more products that I designed for Simon that were released last week: the Married stamp set and coordinating dies called Cake & Congrats, and the Large Moroccan Stencil. I stamped and embossed the wedding cake and circle stamp on vellum and then added color to the back of the vellum with Copic Markers. As for the stencil, I blended on some Soft Cantaloupe ink first and then went over it with Translucent Embossing Paste. The embossing paste adds such a cool texture!
All that being said, there are a couple things I would do differently if I made this card again. First, I’d make the “congrats” a different color so that it stands out more. And I think I’d also color the back of the circle piece before die cutting it because then if would have been easier to color and there wouldn’t be visible streaks. Oh well! You live and learn, right? :)
