Hello, all! Today I am playing with the new Pattern Play Hexagon stamp set from Altenew. The minute I saw this stamp set, I knew I had to stamp it using a rainbow of inks! It was super easy to stamp the entire pattern to create my own patterned paper. It seriously looks printed! I’m so happy with the results.
I first stamped the large hexagon pattern background stamp in black ink. Then I took the solid hexagon stamp from the set and stamped different colors, allowing the diagonal rows of color to overlap. I used six colors of ink from Simon: Doll Pink, Orange Peel, Sunshine, Jellybean, Island Blue, and Hydrangea.
After the pattern was stamped, I sprayed some Iridescent Glitter Dust over the entire background. I seriously love this stuff!
For the greeting, I used the new Script Words dies from Altenew and diecut the word “hugs” from the stamped pattern. I then created two cards, one with a Neenah Solar White base and the other with a Neenah Desert Storm (kraft) base.
I finished off the card by stamping “just because” from Altenew’s new Beautiful Inside stamp set and adhering the strips to the card using foam tape. I also stamped some inside greetings using the same stamp set and VersaFine Onyx Black ink.
