Hi all! Sorry for the delay in getting today’s post up. It’s been a crazy day…
Besides feeling a bit sick today, I dropped Mannie off at the vet’s office to have his teeth cleaned. They called a bit ago and said they needed to extract two decaying teeth. Not unexpected as he is an older cat. But he should be okay in a few days. I pick him up tonight and bring him home. He’ll be on canned food for a bit while he recovers. He’ll love that. :)
In the meantime, the house is pretty quiet without his meowing. :)
Anyhow, onto today’s card. This card started when I attempted to cut out an intricate flower shape using my Silhouette cutting machine. It has cut much more dainty diecuts than this, but I think my blade was dull. It totally trashed the cardstock. It looks okay in the video, but the center area of the flower was pretty torn up. To salvage it, I thought I would use it as a mask for misting. :)
I used Studio Calico Mister Huey Mist in Classic Calico (which is on sale at TwoPeas currently) over the top of some Lost & Found Christmas paper from My Mind’s Eye. The soft brown went perfectly with the brown and cream aged look of the patterned paper. To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment on a dark red pattern, and embossed it.
BTW, TwoPeas has the new Silhouette Cameo in stock. Mine arrived on Monday, but it’s currently still in the box until I can clear a space for it. I pre-ordered it from a different store online. 12 inches of lovely Silhouette cutting goodness. Gonna have to break it out this weekend. :)
