Distress Oxide Ink Blending Color Combinations 2

Hello again! Today I’m continuing my miniseries on Distress Oxide Inks and blending color combinations! Today’s video uses mostly blues and greens. :)

(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

Some things to note before I get into the combos… I used a Tonic Easy Clean Mat to protect my work surface while blending. The slick surface of this mat also allows for easy blending from the edge of the cardstock. I used Mini Round Blending Tools from Ranger (with a blending foam for each color). The cardstock I’m using for all these blending videos is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White.

Now the combos!

I’ll be back with even more Distress Oxide Ink color combos next Friday! Thanks for stopping by!

I love all those combos. I only have a few Distress Oxide ink pads –a blue, a red, a yellow, etc. — and I thought that would be all I’d need. However, as I’m watching these videos I’m making list of all the colors I now NEED. I really can’t say which colors I’d like to see you use next, but whichever ones you use I’m sure will be gorgeous and will all to my “wish” list of colors.

These would be great for more masculine cards! I need to pick up Blueprint Sketch! Will these turn out close to the same if I sub a Distress Ink if I don’t have the color in the Oxide? Or would you recommend I try a different color?

thanks for this series Kristina, its super helpful for those of us that sometimes struggle with colour combinations! I would love to see what you team with the aqua’s – Peacock feathers, cracked pistacio etc but also what you put with Evergreen Bough. I love this colour but often find it hard to use. looking forward to next Friday!

Another great set of blends this week Kristina. I have a question for you, how do you deal with your blending foams getting contaminated? Especially the lighter colours like Twisted Citron, Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass. Thank you!
