Happy Monday, all! Today I wanted to play with the new The Birthday Bash stamp set from Mama Elephant. This stamp set has a rather large image with lots of animals and gift boxes. I thought I would create a card using the image but without needing to color or paint it. Plus, I love making shakers for birthday cards. :)
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
I stamped and white heat embossed the images from The Birthday Bash stamp set on vellum cardstock, and then die cut them using the coordinating dies. Then I created the colorful watercolor background for the inside of the shaker. I first stamped and embossed the large Happy Birthday greeting from Mama Elephant’s Birthday Wishes stamp set , then I used three colors of liquid watercolor from Dr. Ph. Martin’s Radiant Concentrated Water Colors line: Raspberry, Sunshine Yellow, and Ice Blue. All three colors are sold in Set D as well.
For the front of the shaker area, I cut a circle window using the Nested Circles die set from Simon and then ran it through my die cutting machine using one of the Wave embossing folders from We R Memory Keepers.
At last, I assembled the shaker area and sprinkled in Crystal Clear Confetti from Studio Katia. I then adhered the stamped vellum pieces to the front of the card.
Thanks for stopping by today! I’ll be back with a another card and video very soon. :)
