Easy Watercoloring with Gold Embossing

Happy Friday, all!

I’d make quite a few “more involved” cards as of late, so I wanted to make a more simple and easy card for today. :) Watercoloring over an embossed image is a fun, relaxing way to watercolor without the pressure of perfection. And the new Easter Blessings stamp set from Avery Elle has the perfect image for this technique…

Why is this technique so simple and freeing? The raised lines of the gold embossing contain all the watercolor in the areas your coloring, making it super easy to get great results.

Today I used a new watercolor set to me, the Kuretake Zig Gansai Tambi watercolors. I know quite a few people who love this set of watercolors and I wanted to try them out myself. And they definitely live up to the hype. They are creamy and super pigmented. I really love them and will have to put them into my usual rotation of watercolor mediums to use.

I hope you enjoy today’s video. :)
