Holiday Card Series 2017 – Day 15 – Focal Point Color

Hi all! Today is Day 15 of the Holiday Card Series. For those who are are new to my blog and videos, the Holiday Card Series consists of 25 holiday card inspiration videos. I’ll be sharing holiday inspiration every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until December 20.

Today is also a blog hop for a special stamp set just released at Simon Says Stamp! The exclusive Friends Forever stamp set is a collaboration stamp set from Lawn Fawn featuring images from previous Simon and Lawn Fawn collaboration stamp sets. These were some of the most popular stamps from previous years of STAMPtember, and the stamp sets were hard to get. So this stamp set is pretty fun! It’s a mash up of some favorites!

(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

For my card, I used the small mouse image and the greeting “Merry Christmouse.” I stamped the mouse all over my card front and then colored all but one in brown chalk ink and a blender pen (clear marker) from a Tombow marker set. I colored just one mouse in Polychromos colored pencils to create a focal point.

This is such a simple idea but it packs a punch. And don’t forgot to grab your Friend Forever stamp set. This is a limited quantity situation. :)

Adorable take on this! The little mouse image is really cute! I am interested in finding out how the polychromo pencils stack up against prismacolor pencils in terms of blendability**(is that a word?) I know Yana loves them, but I have yet to try those out. Thank you for this fun hop!! You ladies are all amazing!! Hugs-Raquel
