For those who are are new to my blog and videos, the Holiday Card Series consists of 25 holiday card inspiration videos. I’ll be sharing holiday inspiration every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until November 30. Today’s card features the Rustic Winter die set from Sunny Studio.

When I saw the Rustic Winter dies from Sunny Studio, I immediately had an idea for what I wanted to create. I thought it would be amazing to build a scene with different depths and a peaceful blended background.
So to start out this card, I blended three colors of Distress Oxide ink onto white cardstock. I used Dried Marigold, Spun Sugar, and Dusty Concord. To add shimmer to the background, I sprayed it with Silver Glitter Dust spray.
I cut the trees and animals from the die set out of white cardstock and roughly arranged them over the background. The trees are just larger than 4″, so I used a 4″ square die from Simon’s Basic Squares die set to create a white frame that would go on top of my scene.
I adhered the trees and animals to the background using thin narrow foam strips from Darice, and then adhered the white frame on top. I also stamped a greeting from Concord & 9th’s Very Merry Sentiments stamp set on vellum and adhered the narrow strip.
Thank so stopping by today! I hope you enjoy the card and video. See you on Wednesday for Day 18!
