Holiday Card Series 2018 – Day 4 – Critter Sweater Cards

For those who are are new to my blog and videos, the Holiday Card Series consists of 25 holiday card inspiration videos. I’ll be sharing holiday inspiration every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until December 20. Today is Day 4, and I created a bunch of cards using the new Critter Sweaters stamp set and coordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp.

(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

Going into this, I knew I would be creating multiples of the same card design. So I took my time positioning all the sweater design stamps from the Critter Sweaters stamp set on my MISTI. I stamped the sweater pattern on white cardstock using three colors of ink (all from Simon): Lipstick Red, Spring Rain, and Soft Navy. I made sure to clean the stamps extra well between colors using Ultra Clean stamp cleaner.

I then used the Critter Sweaters dies to diecut the three animal shapes. After the animals were cut out, I stamped the animal faces.

To finished off the cards, I selected two different cardstock colors to go behind the animals. I used Taffy cardstock from Bazzill, and Sea Glass cardstock from Simon. To add a subtle pattern to the Taffy cardstock, I used white pigment ink and the Extra Large Dots Stencil.

All that was left to finish the cards, was to create card bases out of thick white cardstock and adhere everything together using foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed today’s cards! Thanks for stopping by :)

These are so sweet Kristina and I agree, whenever you can get multiples (especially for Christmas cards) it is ALWAYS a good idea. Sweet cards indeed.
