Hello, all! Today is Day 15 of the Holiday Card Series, and for today’s card I wanted to do a it of coloring with colored pencils. I used the Pine and Posy stamp set from Mama Elephant for the coloring, and paired it with the Big Angle Background from Ink Blot.
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

I first stamped the large image from the Pine and Posy stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I also created a mask for the image using Masking Magic paper and cutting it out using the coordinating dies.
After applying the mask, I ink blended Pine Needles and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks above the stamped image. Once completely dry I stamped and heat embossed with Big Angle Background stamp above the stamped foliage image.

After removing the masking paper, I colored the image using Polychromos colored pencils.
To finish off the card, I stamped a greeting using the Tiny Word Christmas stamp set from Simon, and stacked 4 layers of cardstock cut using the Merry die set from CZ Design.
Thanks for tuning in today! I’ll be back Friday morning with Day 16. :)

Love it!! I have to laugh though. When you say “very simple coloring,” I watch and think, I could never do that! I just have to bite the bullet and give it a try! My pencils have just sat there begging to be used. Have a happy day and stay safe here in Utah! :)
Fantastic card. Your are a great card maker, everything you make turn out beautiful. Thank you for all your great tips.
I wouldn’t have thought to use these stamps together for Christmas card but they look amazing together.

I think this stamp from Mama Elephant is beautiful and it looks excellent with that angled stamp from Ink Blot. Nicely done!
