Hi all! Today I have an awesome color combination for you to check out! I wanted to create an autumn color palette to go along with the wreath stamps in Gina K Designs’ You Are stamp set. I decided to use three colors of Distress Ink, and they might be new favorite autumn colors!
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
I started out by blending Fossilized Amber, Fired Brick, and Dusty Concord Distress inks in the center of white card stock. These colors blend so beautifully! They scream autumn to me without being too subdued. In other words, they keep their vibrancy. I think you could also add a brown shade and it would look gorgeous!
Then I stamped the main portion of the wreath from the You Are stamp set in Soft Navy ink from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the greeting and other little bits of the wreath in VersaMark ink and applied two colors of embossing powder: Antique Gold from Simon and Copper from Wow. I alternated stamping and embossing until the wreath as filled out, and then added in additional color to the flowers using sponge daubers.
I hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for stopping by!
