Stamped Distress Ink Watercolor

Happy Friday, all! Today I used Distress Ink to watercolor in a new way (to me, at least). I stamped the solid leaves from Concord & 9th’s Uplifting Thoughts stamp set in Distress Ink and then reactivated the ink color with a wet brush!
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).

I stamped the leaves onto Arches cold pressed watercolor paper in three colors of Distress Ink: Mustard Seed, Crushed Olive, and Pine Needles. I used a wet watercolor brush to go over the leaves and then splattered some ink over the entire card front.

To finish off the card, I stamped the “Thinking of You” greeting in Versafine Onyx Black ink and drew a thin border around the perimeter of the card with a black pen.
Thanks for stopping by today! I can’t wait to try out some more stamped Distress Ink watercoloring! :)
