Hi all! Alright! On to the third (and hopefully last) post of the morning. :) Hope ya’ll aren’t getting sick of my yet.
TwoPeas is having an event over the next few weeks. They’re calling it Holiday Cardmaking Weekends! I was invited to create some cards with newsletters for the first weekend. :)
I love opening mail around the holidays and receiving updates from family and friends. Most of the time, they send newsletters describing how the year went and give brief updates on each member of the family. Sending cards and newsletters is a great tradition, and an awesome way to keep in touch!
So why not combine the newsletter with your homemade holiday card! In this mini class I show how to incorporate a newsletter into three different holiday cards. Each one is super easy!
- Make your card first, and then fold or cut some scratch paper to the size you want your newsletter to be. Use the scratch paper as a guide for formatting your newsletter on your computer in your favorite word processing or design program.
- Print out your newsletter once to check that it’s the perfect size for your card. Then make any needed adjustments.
- After you have your newsletter the way you want it, then you can start printing out several copies and start assembling your cards/newsletters. Good luck! :)
To download a PDF with step-by-step photos, instructions, and the supply lists for each card, visit the class page: Holiday Cards With Newsletters. I’ll also be answering any questions you might have either here (in the comments), or on the Education Board at TwoPeas.
CHALLENGE: Create a holiday card with newsletter and then share it with your fellow crafters at twopeasinabucket.com by uploading photos of your project to the gallery! Select this challenge when you upload your project as well. This challenge runs until December 2, with a winner being announced on December 3 on the Education Board. :)
