Alcohol Inks + Gold Foil!

Hi everyone! Not long ago, I saw a couple videos from my friend Kelly Latevola. She was inspired by our mutual friend Jenn Shurkus to create some alcohol ink backgrounds and to incorporate foiling. After seeing Kelly’s videos, I was totally inspired to break out my alcohol inks and gold foil. Using the two together creates such beautiful and unique backgrounds!
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
Today I played with only two colors of Tim Hotlz Alcohol Inks: Patina and Turquoise. I also used the Blending Solution to help the colors move on the paper. The paper I used is Translucent Yupo Paper.
After the alcohol inks moved around quite a bit, there were some small sticky spots. I pressed gold foil into the sticky areas and it transferred the gold. So pretty!
To finish off the card, I diecut a “It’s Your Day!” greeting using Concord & 9th’s Yay die set out of gold foil cardstock from DCWV.
I hope you enjoy today’s video! Thanks for stopping by!
