Autumn Wreath Watercoloring
Happy Wednesday, all! I hope you’re ready for another autumn wreath (see my first one here, and second one here). Wow, I’ve done a lot with wreaths recently, right? LOL! I can’t help it! Wreaths are gorgeous and so fun to work with on cards. :) For today’s wreath card, I’m using Pretty Pink Posh’s Autumn Wreath stamp set and watercolors.

When I started this card, I wanted it to be essentially a one layer card with everything done on watercolor paper. So I stamped and embossed the wreath image from the Autumn Wreath stamp set, and then added a greeting from the Simply Sayings: Kind stamp set. I watercolored over the wreath using Mijello Mission Gold watercolors, and soon realized that I didn’t like the greeting inside the wreath because it was just a bit too large.
To save the card (because I really was loving how the watercoloring turned out), I decided to die cut the wreath and adhere it to a kraft colored card instead. Then I used the smaller “Autumn Greetings” stamp from the stamp set inside the wreath.
