Colorful Ink “Smooshing” Thank You Card

Hello, all! Happy Wednesday!

The masking class at Online Card Classes, Mask-erade, started yesterday. In one of the videos, Laura Bassen reminded me of the ink smooshing technique, which has been around for ages but I’ve yet to try out! Why did I wait so long?! I LOVE ink smooshing now! It’s seriously awesome!

NOTE: I just realized that the video of Laura doing ink smooshing hasn’t been shared in class yet. Oops! I got a sneak peek while preparing class and thought it had already been shared. For those of you in Mask-erade, Laura’s video will be shown in Friday’s lesson and will include a fun masking twist. Be sure to check it out. :)

I used four Distress Inks for the inking: Evergreen Bough, Seedless Preserves, Abandoned Coral, and Scattered Straw. I adore how these colors mixed on the watercolor paper.

I stamped the greeting and images on the card using Studio L2e’s Special Delivery stamp set and then heat embossed them with Hero Arts’ white embossing powder.

Such a fun card! And so easy to create, too. :)
