Colorful Metallic Watercolor
Happy Friday, all! Today’s card were made using a bunch of supplies from Altenew. I used the Metallic Watercolor set to paint images from the Leaf Canopy stamp set. And since there are so many beautiful colors in the Metallics Watercolor set, I just had to use nearly them all! :)

This post is also for the Altenew + The Daily Marker Watercolor Therapy Blog Hop! And watercolor really is therapy! I find it soothing and restorative. In fact, while I was painting the leaves for these cards, I was talking with a friend over a Zoom call, and the social interaction was nearly like they were there! Watercolor can be relaxing but also something you do while listening to a conversation or participating in one yourself!
I stamped images from the Leaf Canopy stamp set on black watercolor paper in VersaMark ink, and then coated the stamped images in white embossing powder and heat set them. Then I went to town painting them with the Metallic Watercolors set from Altenew. Make sure to watch the video for tips on blending these gorgeous paints!
To make the leaf stems into cards, I die cut them with the coordinating dies. I stamped and white embossed a greeting from the Heartfelt Sentiments stamp set on two pieces of black cardstock and then adhered each to a white 5×7 card base. Then I adhered the die cuts on top and added a white dashed line with a gel pen.
